Who’s it for?
EALTS is for two groups:
- Large levy‑paying employers with unused Apprenticeship Levy funds who want to donate and support skills development in Essex.
- Essex businesses who need financial support to fully cover apprenticeship training costs.
What is it?
A free matching service that connects businesses with large employers willing to transfer unused levy funds, enabling them to access fully funded apprenticeship training. Think of it as a “helping hand,” ensuring levy money that would go unused instead supports local business growth and the development of new talent.
What’s required?
Levy‑paying organisations: Simply pledge the amount you’re willing to transfer. EALTS handles matching criteria and administration.
Businesses looking for funds: Register your apprenticeship funding needs on the portal so you can be matched with a suitable levy donor. No co‑investment is required for businesses once matched.
How does it work?
Large employers with unspent levy funds register on the EALTS portal and pledge the amount they’re willing to transfer, while businesses submit their apprenticeship funding needs through the same system. EALTS then matches businesses with suitable levy‑donor organisations based on the donor’s criteria, and the transfer is processed through the employer’s online apprenticeship service account, fully covering the training costs. Throughout the process, both parties are supported by a dedicated EALTS team member to ensure everything runs smoothly.
